PEMERIKSAAN KESEHATAN SECARA UMUM (VITAL SIGN) PADA LANSIA KELURAHAN JATIRAHAYU KECAMATAN PONDOK MELATI JAKARTA TIMUR
Abstract
Background: An elderly person is someone aged 60 years or older. Common problems in the elderly include physical, psychological, and social decline. Decreased balance is a common problem in the elderly, leading to a risk of falls and a reduced quality of life. Purpose: To assess vital signs, including blood pressure, respiratory rate, and pulse, in the elderly. Objective: Conducting vital sign checks, including blood pressure, respiratory rate, and pulse rate in the elderly. Method: This program includes several activities, including: socializing and vital sign checks, including blood pressure, respiratory rate, and pulse rate. This Community Service activity involved checking vital signs, including blood pressure, respiratory rate, and pulse rate for the elderly. This activity was held on June 16, 2022, at the Jatirahayu village field, and was attended by 30 elderly people. Result: The results showed that most of the elderly had mild hypertension, with pulse and respiratory rates slightly above average. Conclusion: The community service activity, which included checking vital signs for the elderly, was carried out well.
